In latest news from Uttarakhand, acting on the missing complaint lodged by the family members of a minor girl at Purola police station on July 8, a case under Section 137(2) of Indian Penal Code was registered against unknown persons and then police assisted by special operations group (SOP) not just recovered the missing minor but arrested a youth identified as Rahul Kumar (21) from Damta on the charge of abducting her. On the basis of statement/evidence, sections of POCSO Act and another relevant act were added to the charge. Probe was going on, police said.
