Under the programme ‘Ek Ped Ma ke Nam’ hosted by Nainital Dugdh Utpadak Sahkari Sangh Limited (NDUSSL) to mark Harela festival on Tuesday, its chairman Mukesh Bora planted a fruit-bearing tree in its dairy plant premises in Lalkuan. With this, the tree plantation programme was launched under the aegis of Uttarakhand Cooperative Dairy Federation Limited.
Bora further said that as the next step of the day’s tree plantation drive, they together with the forest department would work to ensure the survival and growth of the saplings being planted. The general manager of the Uttarakhand Cooperative Dairy Federation Limited Anurag Sharma was also present on the occasion.
