UGB celebrates Harela across Uttarakhand

Uttarakhand Gramin Bank (UGB) celebrated the Harela festival with tree plantations across the State on Tuesday. The main event was held in the Garhi Cantt, Dehradun while about 290 branches across 13 districts of the State participated in the drive. The senior UGB officers said that in alignment with the Ek Ped Ma Ke Nam, which was initiated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the World Environment Day, the bank undertook this extensive initiative to promote environmental sustainability. About 40 saplings were planted in the Garhi Cantt event. Among the senior UGB officers present on the occasion included the chairman Hari Har Patnaik and general managers Amita Raturi and Bharti Naudiyal.
