Ist Garhwali horror film ‘Asgar’ released

Appreciated for episodic structure, this film boosts promise of more to come

The cinema made in regional languages ​​of Uttarakhand is continuously developing. In this sequence, the first Garhwali supernatural horror film ‘Asgar’ has been released on Friday at a mall in Dehradun. Among the dignitaries present on the occasion were the State director general of information Banshidhar Tiwari and joint director Nitin Upadhyay.

The main hero of this Garhwali film, made under the banner of Aayushi Films, is debutant Abhinav Chauhan and heroine Manvi Patel. Apart from them, Rakesh Gaur, Madan Duklan, Gokul Panwar, Gambhir Jayda, Sanyogita Dhyani and Anil Sharma also played important roles in it.

The plot of the film is based on a village in Garhwal where a series of sudden deaths starts. From the people of the village to the government-administration, no one is able to solve this mystery, but when the secret is revealed, everyone is stunned.

The film has been shot at many picturesque places of Uttarakhand. The producer of the film is Suman Verma while the responsibility of direction has been played by Anuj Joshi who has previously written and directed successful films like Meru Gaon, Aajaan, Teri Saun and Kamli. The co-producer is Sanjay Narendra Srivastava and the executive producer is Sumit Kharbanda. The music is by Amit V Kapoor and the singers are Pritam Bharatwan, Jitendra Panwar and Pratiksha Bamrada. While the cinematography is done by Harish Negi, Vibhor Saklani did the editing.
