In latest news from Uttarakhand, as heavy rain keeps lashing several parts of the State, a temporary bridge on Morkhanda river was washed away and around 100 pilgrims, headed towards Madmaheshwar known as Second Kedar, got stranded midway. The executive engineer of the public works department said that alternative arrangements are being made with the bridge being swept away.
The Rudraprayag district administration officers said that all the stranded pilgrims are safe.
