In latest news from Doon, the Governor Lt Gen (Retd) Gurmit Singh took part in a commemorative programme hosted at Shaurya Sthal War Memorial in Dehradun to mark the 25th anniversary of Kargil Victory. He laid a wreath on the memorial and urged all to derive inspiration from the gallantry and sacrifice of those who fought to protect the country’s geographical frontiers in the difficult terrain of Kargil.
He also underscored the need of further modernisation of the Indian Army.
