The session would be held in Vidhan Sabha building in Bharadisain, Gairsain of Chamoli district. The session will end on August 23. The state government will table many bills in the house during the session. It is also expected that the goernment will get the supplementary budget cleared from the house.
The opposition is likely to corner the State government over the disaster management works, mismanagement in the Char Dham Yatra , foundation stone laying ceremony of Kedarnath Dham in Buradi, New Delhi, deteriorating law and order situation and increasing unemployment. Notably, the bench strength of the Congress has increased to 20 in the Assembly after the victories in the bypolls of Mangalaur and Badrinath.
