U’Khand Govt working to promote women SHGs: CM

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami stated that the State government is dedicated to promoting women self-help groups (SHGs) through various schemes. He said this while inaugurating the stalls set up by women SHGs under the Mukhyamantri Sashakt Behana Utsav Yojana and the Chief Minister’s Women SHG Empowerment Scheme on Monday
During the event, the chief minister highlighted the government’s efforts to foster women SHGs in the State through a range of initiatives. He praised the State’s women for producing high-quality goods through these groups, noting that local products are gaining recognition and creating new employment opportunities. He added that SHGs have been making Rakhis in preparation for Rakshabandhan and the government is facilitating the sale of these products, urging the State’s residents to support local artisans by purchasing their goods.
Several SHGs including the Devbhoomi SHG from Barowala, Vaibhav Laxmi SHG from Dakpathar, Milan SHG from Raipur, Aastha cluster level federation from Sahaspur, Vikas cluster level federation from Hawalbag, Almora, Aastha cluster level federation and Virangana cluster level federation have set up stalls to sell their products in the secretariat.
