Heavy rain warning issued for four districts

Light to moderate rain was reported in various parts of the State on Friday though the provisional State capital Dehradun witnessed a dry day. The State meteorological centre has issued a yellow warning (Be Updated) regarding the possibility of heavy rainfall likely to occur at isolated places in Nainital, Champawat, Udham Singh Nagar and Bageshwar districts on Saturday. Thunderstorms accompanied with lightning/intense to very intense spells of rain are likely to occur at isolated places in all districts of the State today. Apart from this, light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in Nainital and Champawat districts, at a few places in Haridwar district and at many places in the remaining districts of the State today.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness a partly to generally cloudy sky. One or two spells of light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur, which may be intense in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 34 degrees Celsius and 24 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
The rain recorded in various places on Friday was 22.1 millimetres in Dehradun, 15 millimetres in Berinag, 11.5 millimetres in Vikasnagar, 11 millimetres in Rudrapur, 8.5 millimetres in Srinagar, eight millimetres in Lansdowne and 5.5 millimetres in Janki Chatti.
