Man injured after jumping from moving train while filming reel

A young man jumped off a train in Haldwani, Nainital when his mobile phone slipped from his hand while making a reel and fell onto the tracks on Thursday morning. He severely broke his arm in this incident while sustaining minor injuries, the officials said. They informed that the injured, identified as Shivam Maurya (22), a resident of Bijra Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh was traveling with his wife and children on the Sampark Kranti Express from Kathgodam to Delhi on Thursday morning. The train had just left Kathgodam railway station and reached Sheesh Mahal when Maurya was standing at the train’s door, filming a reel. During this time, his phone slipped from his hand and fell. In a bid to retrieve his phone, Maura reportedly jumped off the moving train, which led to his injury. He was initially admitted to the base hospital by the police but was later transferred to Sushila Tiwari hospital for further treatment. The officials informed that after receiving primary care, Maurya requested the doctors on Friday to be transferred to a hospital in his hometown Sitapur. The police stated that the incident highlights the dangers of reckless behaviour while travelling, especially on moving trains and appealed to the people to act responsibly while travelling.
