B D Pandey Hosp reduces service charges for patients

In good news for patients thronging the Government B D Pandey District Hospital for treatment, the hospital management has reduced various types of health service charges as per the guidelines received from the State government. This reduction in charges is coming into effect from Friday.
Informing this, the chief medical superintendent of the district hospital, Dr Tarun Kumar Tamta said that fee for Out- Patient Department (OPD) which was earlier Rs 28 has now been reduced to Rs 20 while the same for In- Patient Department (IPD) which was earlier Rs 144 has been reduced to Rs 50. Similarly, the fee of Rs 57 which was earlier charged after three days in the general ward has now also been reduced to Rs 25 while the fee for private ward which was earlier Rs 430 has now been reduced to Rs 150.
Plus, the ambulance fee (upto a minimum of five kms) will now be Rs 200 while for distances beyond five kms, a fee of Rs 20 per km will have to be paid.
Dr Tamta further said that this aside, the fee for diagnostic tests would be determined as per the latest rates of the State Health Authority, Uttarakhand.
