In latest news from Uttarakhand, a boy aged 14 years was allegedly killed by a neighbour who had illicit relationship with his mother. The incident happened within Mukhani police station limits in Haldwani. Police arrested the accused on the basis of the complaint filed by the boy’s father Ramashankar Kashyap.
Police said that they had found a body in the forest near the steel factory on September 12. The following day, Ramashankar filed the complaint, saying that their neighbour Satyaveer had taken his son to the forest area and smothered him to death.
Police said that during interrogation, the accused had admitted to the crime and confessed having illicit relationship with the mother of the deceased. As he had grown suspicious that the boy came to learn about the relationship, he strangled the boy and left the body there.
