In latest news from Uttarakhand, the State sports and youth welfare minister Rekha Arya held an online meeting with all the district magistrates regarding the preparations for the Khel Mahakumbh 2024 which is commencing from Almora on October 4.
While participating in the virtual meeting from New Tehri, the Tehri district magistrate Mayur Dixit said that the sports event would be started in the district at the Nyaya Panchayat level from October 15, adding that an amount of Rs 20 lakh has been allocated from the district plan for Khel Mahakumbh 2024. Sports competitions will be organised in the district from October 15 to 20 at Nyaya Panchayat level, from November 4 to 10 at development block level and from December 1 to 7 at district level.
