Government failure exposed by cyber attack: PCC president

Monday, 07 OCTOBER 2024 | PNS | DEHRADUN

The Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Karan Mahara has said that it is unfortunate that the State government has failed to restore its cyber system even after three days of a massive cyber attack on its official websites and software. He said that the government has also failed to identify the reasons for the failure of the cyber system of the State. Mahara claimed that the people of the State are bearing the brunt of the cyber attack as almost every work such as patient registration in hospitals, distribution of ration and registering of FIR in the police stations has been affected.

He said that though the BJP governments at the Centre and State boast about making the country and the State number one in every sector but the fact is the cyber system of the State has become so frail due to shortage of the experts that anyone can attack it.  Taking a dig at the State government, the PCC president said that not only the cyber system but all systems of the Dhami government have failed.

“The ever increasing cases of rapes and crime against women indicate that the system of law and order in the State has failed. The long queue of the unemployed shows that the system of employment and policies of the government for youth have failed. Similarly the health system has failed due to lack of doctors and the education system too has failed,’’ he said.
