CM inaugurates 3 day Nayar festival- 2024 in Pauri

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that all the recruitment examinations in Uttarakhand were conducted in a transparent manner after the implementation of a stringent anti-copying act. He was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the three- day Nayar festival-2024 at Kinsur Bagi in Yamkeshwar block of Pauri district on Thursday. The CM said that ahead of the Assembly elections of 2022, he had promised about Uniform Civil Code (UCC) to the people of the State and soon this promise will be fulfilled. He said that the State government is continuing to work in the field of generating avenues for employment. Dhami claimed that in the last three years more than 17,000 youngsters have been appointed in different departments of the State government.

He said that the Nayar festival 2024 will help in providing the area a unique place in the tourism sector. The tourism activities in the area will help in economic and cultural development of the area. The festival being organised at the confluence of the Ganga and Nayar rivers will help in developing infrastructure facilities in the area.

Dhami said that the State government has undertaken many development activities in every sector in the state. A cultural centre on the bank of Alaknanda River is underway in Srinagar, Trishul Park, the ancient bridal route to Kedarnath and Badrinath has been revived and the old Collectorate building in Pauri is being developed as a heritage building.  He assured that the work on construction of Singtali bridge will soon start.

The CM announced that the Devprayag-Satpuli road and Devprayag-Buwakhal road will be upgraded as National Highways. He also made a number of announcements for the area.

 In the programme, the CM flagged off a rafting expedition and released seeds of the Golden Mahaseer fish in the river.

Cabinet minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that the State government has taken a number of decisions in public interest. He said that in the meeting of the State cabinet held on Wednesday decisions on providing free cooking gas cylinders to poor women till 2027 and free treatment under the Ayushman scheme for the people injured in attacks of wild animals.

 MLAs Renu Bisht, Rajkumar Pori, district BJP president Sushma Rawat, district magistrate Ashish Chauhan, SSP Lokeshwar Singh and others attended the programme.
