In latest news from Uttarakhand, the cabinet minister Premchand Aggarwal and his wife took holy dip in Ganga at Har Ki Paudi ghat in Haridwar on the auspicious occasion of Kartik Purnima on Friday. Taking dip in Ganga on this day while offering prayer to Lord Vishnu is believed to bring immense fortune. Aggarwal said that according to the Shastras, taking dip in the sacred river on this purnima brings merit far surpassing the merit acquired through organising two Ashvamedha Yagna.
