Director, Jal Shakti represents India at Water Week in South Korea

The director, Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India, Dr. Raghav Langer represented India at the International Water Week 2024 held at Daegu, South Korea.
Theme of this year’s International Water Week (KIWW-2024) was ‘Building Smart Water Future by sharing Experience & Technology’. Representatives from about 60 countries participated in the main event held from November 13-16.
Water Leaders’ Round Table aimed at high level commitment and actions based on the Declarations of the World Water Forum. World Water Cities Forum and World Water Partnership saw a cooperative gathering of water sector officials, experts and industry leaders to look for solutions and share best practices and policies related to water management, besides discussions on the achievements made under the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The event featured an extensive exhibition showcasing cutting-edge water technologies, products and services related to water management, treatment and conservation. Companies from around the world displayed their solutions for water efficiency, wastewater treatment, AI-based water monitoring systems, desalination technologies and smart water metering solutions and water infrastructure.
Thematic and bilateral meetings were held on the sidelines of the conference between partner countries to discuss various critical issues and ensuring integrated water management by fostering collaborations between government agencies, NGOs, businesses and research institutions.
Global Water Awards and Youth Water Forum Asia recognised the outstanding achievements in water innovation and environmental stewardship.
The Indian delegation was led by Dr. Raghav for building partnerships in the water sector and advancing global efforts toward water sustainability.
