In latest news from Uttarakhand, police arrested a woman along with three of her accomplices while investigating a missing case involving the woman’s husband Sumit from Rampura in Rudrapur under Udham Singh Nagar district. The in-charge of Rampura police station said that the police had started probe on the basis of a missing diary lodged by the woman Renu who stated that her husband had gone missing on November 14. Later, police started interrogation of a suspect. While checking the CCTV footages and with the assistance of phone surveillance, police suspected it to be a murder case. Interrogation of the suspect revealed that Sumit had been strangled and his body had been buried. The body was exhumed on Friday and police arrested Sumit’s widow Renu and three others identified as Ganesh, Vansh and Deepak. Police said that the trio had murdered Sumit on the direction of Renu who was involved in an extra-marital affair.
