Nainital Dugdh Utpadak Sahkari Sangh Limited (NDUSSL) while celebrating National Milk Day on Tuesday to mark the birth anniversary of Verghese Kurien organised milk producers’ seminars and consumer awareness programmes in the milk committees operating across the district to highlight the need of milk for the human body and the nutrients present in it. Besides, detailed information was provided at these seminars about the self-employment and other schemes being run by the State government in the milk co-operatives.
Speaking at a seminar, the general manager of Uttarakhand Cooperative Dairy Federation Limited Anurag Sharma said that milk was a complete diet for the human body from the viewpoint of nutrition.
Further, to mark the day, seminars were organised in Nainital and Haldwani towns on the directive of the State Animal Husbandry minister Saurabh Bahuguna.
