With there being no respite from fatal road mishaps in various parts of the State, two brothers died in the latest accident in the Bazpur area of Udham Singh Nagar district on Thursday. The two brothers died when their motorcycle was hit by a tractor on Malaria Road in Bazpur early on Thursday morning.
The tractor driver has been absconding since the mishap. According to information received, brothers Mohammed Iliyas (28) and Farid Ahmed (23) were riding on a motorcycle to Sita Colony when their motorcycle was hit by a tractor.
The duo sustained serious injuries in the mishap. The tractor driver escaped from the scene of the mishap even as bystanders gathered to check the situation. The police reached the site on bring informed and sent the two injured men to the sub district hospital.
The two were declared dead by the doctors in the hospital. The police are investigating the case and searching for the absconding tractor driver.
