Governor, CM pay tributes to BR Ambedkar on his death anniversary

Glowing tributes were paid to the Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar by the governor, lieutenant general (retd) Gurmit Singh, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and other leaders on his death anniversary on Friday.
The governor paid floral tributes to Ambedkar at Raj Bhawan on the day. He said that Ambedkar was the architect of the Indian constitution and he is a source of inspiration for all of us. He struggled throughout his life for the rights of dalits, oppressed and backward people, he said. The governor exhorted the people to follow the path of social justice and harmony shown by Ambedkar and contribute to pave the way for a good society and a strong democratic system.
Chief minister inister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid tribute to Ambedkar on the occasion by offering floral tributes to his picture at the CM’s residence.
He said that the life of the architect of the Indian constitution, BR Ambedkar is a unique example of struggle, equality and social justice. He said that on this day we take a pledge to build an egalitarian society by following his ideals.
