Pipping ceremony of Special List -37 course held at IMA Dehradun

A solemn pipping ceremony was organised at the prestigious Indian Military Academy (IMA) on Saturday in which 43 officer cadets of Special List-37 course, passed out from the portals of the academy.
The course comprises meritorious soldiers of the Indian army who have excelled in every field to be elevated to the rank of officers. The commandant of the IMA Lieutenant General Sandeep Jain presided over the ceremony. In his address the IMA commandant exhorted the course to selflessly serve their motherland.
The course is considered as a significant milestone in the endeavours and aspirations of the meritorious soldiers of the Indian Army.
“Having already served in the Indian Army for a few years as trained soldiers, the discipline and conduct of the Officer Cadets was immaculate. During the course of their training at IMA, the Officer Cadets were put through structured training. Designed to focus on all aspects the course gives them the confidence and skills necessary to be worthy Officers post commissioning. They are now well motivated and suitably prepared to assume the enhanced responsibilities that they will be entrusted with in one of the finest Armies of the World,’’ a communiqué from the IMA said.
The junior under Officer Dinesh Singh Negi and officer cadet Karthikeyan Nair Pwere were awarded with the Commandant’s gold medal and silver medal respectively in the ceremony.
