Winter Char Dham Yatra to be a milestone for State’s economy: Bhatt
PNS | DEHRADUN
The Bharatiya Janata Party State president Mahendra Bhatt welcomed the State government’s focus on encouraging the winter Char Dham Yatra, stating that it will prove to be a milestone for the State’s economy. He told the media that Uttarkahand is fortunate to have the four sacred Dham, adding that the blessings of these deities are for the whole world. He said that the pilgrimage has been continuing due to believers of Sanatan Dharma who have been expressing their devotion by visiting these shrines for centuries. There has been considerable improvement in the pilgrimage and the facilities with time but inclement weather and time constraints make it impossible for many devotees to visit the Char Dham during the main pilgrimage season.
“Efforts have been undertaken for a long time to encourage the winter Char Dham Yatra but today our government has been successful in the real sense to meet the standards needed to facilitate it. This will enable the devotees to pay obeisance to the deities throughout the year. Revolutionary changes have been achieved with the all-weather road and other necessary facilities under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance and chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s able leadership,” the BJP State president said.
Bhatt said that the continuation of the Char Dham Yatra throughout the year will be welcomed by the devotees while also being considerably beneficial for the State’s economy. The attitude of the people towards tourism is changing and many are visiting the mountains and cold places during the winter these days. In such a situation, the scope for paying obeisance to the deities, enjoying the clean air and environment, sunbathing in the winter and enjoying the peace will increase the number of visitors. This will boost the tourism business in Uttarakhand and enhance the local economy, the BJP State president said.
