CM launches various projects in Rudraprayag, announces more works

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami laid the foundation for projects worth Rs 47.43 crore and inaugurated projects worth Rs 1.23 crore while attending the agriculture, industry and tourism development fair at Syalsaud in Agastyamuni development block of Rudraprayag district on Sunday. He also made various announcements on the occasion. Dhami announced construction of mini stadiums in Chopta’s Chanddhar and Gainthana Bangar, construction of an eight-kilometre long motor road from Swaringwas to Kartik Swami and construction of a car parking at Kanakchauri, Kartik Swami, among other works. Speaking on the occasion he thanked the people for electing Asha Nautiyal as Kedarnath’s MLA, adding that the government will speed up development works in this area. He also spoke about the government’s efforts to facilitate the Char Dham Yatra throughout the year. Dhami said that the Central and State governments are making consistent efforts to make the farmers independent with measures like Kisan Samman Nidhi benefitting eight lakh farmers and upto Rs three lakh being provided in interest-free loan to farmers in the State. A special provision of Rs 200 crore has been made in the budget this time to develop horticulture. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance, the State has entered into contracts with major investors to provide employment to the youth, which will benefit the locals in the future, he added.
Rudraprayag MLA Bharat Singh Chowdhary and Kedarnath MLA Asha Nautiyal also addressed the gathering on the occasion.
