In latest news from Uttarakhand, the Congress leader and Haldwani MLA Sumit Hridayesh launched a scathing attack on the State Health and Education minister Dhan Singh Rawat, asking him to immediately announce the dates of the college union elections and improve health facilities in the mountains.
He said that the ruling party kept deferring the college union polls in fear of rout. He also said that the health system in the hills has crumbled down completely. “People are facing mishaps often in the hills. The injured are being transported to cities and towns for lack of health facilities in the hills. The private hospitals keep fleecing the kin, taking advantage of their helplessness,” he added.
