U’khand FCI offering foorgrain auction since Dec 6

The Food Corporation of India (FCI) Uttarakhand has offered 3000 MT of wheat (with a base price of Rs 2300/ Quintal Under Relaxed Specifications (URS) and Rs 2325/ Quintal for Fair and Average Quality (FAQ)-excluding the transportation and Mandi charges)- from seven locations for sale under Second E-Auction (2024-25) of foodgrains which started from December 6 under Open Market Sale Scheme, Domestic (OMSS-D) scheme.

The FCI Uttarakhand officers said that the main objective of the auction is to ensure that the rising prices of foodgrains are controlled immediately. Maximum quantity of wheat a bidder/ firm can bid has been linked with the LT/HT connection of the firm participating in the bidding. The processors/flour millers//manufacturers of wheat products can bid for a minimum quantity of 10 MT and maximum bidding quantity per bidder for all the regions put together in a single e-auction shall not exceed 25 MT for the processing units with LT connection and 100 MT for the processing units with HT Connection. In case the connection type is not mentioned on the electricity bill then electricity connection with sanctioned load from 1-75 KVA will be considered LT connection, the FCI officials added.
