Police seized 10 cartoons of illegal country liquor from a car in Shantershah area of Roorkee under the Bahadrabad police station limits during a raid. Police said that the country liquor has been stocked for distribution during the upcoming civic body polls. Sharing details, the Shantershah police outpost in-charge Khemendra Gangwar said that the car coming from Roorkee and heading towards Haridwar in which the liquor mafias were transporting the country liquor had been asked to stop but it had refused. Then it had been made to stop with great efforts and cartoons of country liquor had been seized, he said, adding that interrogation has revealed their identity. They are: Vishal from Jharbeda and Rahul from Saharanpur.
Gangwar further said that the duo had been booked under appropriate acts and sent to jail after being produced in court.
