Temperatures set to drop again after slight respite

The temperatures in the State, especially in the plains have continued to fluctuate with the meteorologists forecast a drop in temperatures after a brief spell which saw the temperatures rising by a few notches in Dehradun and other parts of the State. However, the minimum temperature in the plains has remained lower and negligibly higher than many places in the mountainous regions. The State Meteorological Centre has forecast that dry weather is likely to prevail in all districts of the State on Friday.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness a mainly clear sky with mist likely to occur during the morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 23 degrees Celsius and five degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Thursday were 22.4 degrees Celsius and 6.1 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 23.4 degrees Celsius and 5.1 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 14 degrees Celsius and six degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 15.2 degrees Celsius and 5.1 degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
