BJP to organize year long programmes to mark Vajpayee’s birth centenary

The president of Uttarakhand BJP, Mahendra Bhatt has said that the party will organize year long programmes to mark the birth centenary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Addressing a seminar organized at the State headquarters of the party, Bhatt said that Vajpayee has a special place in the heart of every individual of Uttarakhand. Remembering the public meeting of the former PM in Dehradun, the State president of BJP said that he remained calm when his meeting was disturbed and had assured the people that a separate State of Uttarakhand would be created once BJP comes into power. Vajpayee fulfilled his promise when the BJP came to power and he became the PM. Bhatt said that Vajpayee gave a special industrial package to Uttarakhand and linked the cities with the golden quadrilateral scheme.
He said that the BJP will celebrate the birth centenary of Vajpayee for one year. Bhatt said that seminars and exhibitions will be organized in different areas of the State. The party will undertake social service activities and lecture series in the memory of the great leader.
The State general secretary organization Ajey Kumar, cabinet ministers Dhan Singh Rawat, MLAs Savita Kapoor, Anil Nautiyal, Durgeshwar Lal, Dilip Rawat and others attended the programme.
