Warning- thunderstorms with hail and lightning likely in six districts today

The State Meteorological Centre has issued a yellow warning (Watch) regarding the possibility of thunderstorms accompanied with hail and lightning in various parts of the State today. While thunderstorms accompanied with hail are likely to occur in Dehradun and Nainital districts, thunderstorms accompanied with lightning are likely to occur at isolated places in Tehri, Champawat, Pauri and Haridwar districts on Saturday. Apart from this, light to moderate rain is likely to occur at many places in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar and very light to light rain is likely to occur at a few places in Dehradun, Tehri, Haridwar, Pauri, Nainital, Champawat and Uddham Singh Nagar districts.
Dehradun is forecast to witness a partly to generally cloudy sky with the possibility of rain with thunderstorm. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 17 degrees Celsius and 10 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded on Friday were 16.3 degrees Celsius and 9.1 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 20.2 degrees Celsius and 5.6 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 18.5 degrees Celsius and 3.6 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 17.6 degrees Celsius and 5.2 degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
