Aam Aadmi Party’s mayoral contender Ravindra Singh Anand said while addressing a press conference on the last day of election campaign for the ULB polls that if elected, he would free Dehradun from the spiralling crimes by having five lakh CCTV cameras installed across the city. Taking a swipe at BJP and Congress, he said that these two parties have been taking the common people for a ride by promising impossible things. “If elected, I will develop Doon where I grew up on the basis of priorities,” he said.
While listing his priorities, the AAP leader stressed on solving the parking problem plaguing the city perennially. “Free parking zone for 100 vehicles will be set up in all the 100 wards. This way, the problem of parking 10,000 cars will be solved,” he added.
Also, in a bid to woo the youth and the elderly communities, he promised to equip all the parks with gymnasiums, physiotherapy and yoga centres. Further, he spoke about his vision of waste management. l
