The authorities have stated that former chief minister Harish Rawat and his family members are named in the voter list of the urban local bodies.
Following media reports on Rawat stating the he was unable to cast his vote in the ULB polls on Thursday due to his name not being on the voter list, the authorities stressed that the reports were inaccurate.
They stated that Rawat and his family members are listed as voters in ward number 58 Defence Colony. Their polling booth was at the station set up in DAV Public School, Defence Colony.
The BJP cited the information shared by the officials to State that the Congress had tried to gain public sympathy by spreading misinformation.
