In latest news from Doon, the sportspersons participating in the 38th National Games being held in Uttarakhand are flocking around the Fun Park and Mauli Samvad set up in Maharana Pratap Sports College to amuse and educate themselves after their sports events are over.
One of them is Shruti Yadav, a shooter from Chhattisgarh. She was found moving her feet round and round to the rhythm of the guitar playing in the Fun Club. “This is the first time my State is participating in the shooting events of National Games,” she said beamingly, adding that she was fully satisfied with the arrangements made for the national–level mega sports event.
Aside from the participating sportspersons, the sports lovers are also enjoying themselves in the Fun Club. The guest players are also gathering at National Sports Vision Conclave-also known as Mauli Samvad- to collect detailed information about sports. Inaugurated on January 29, the sessions will continue till February 12. To provide ready tips to the sportspersons, a panel of 50 sports experts has been formed. The conclave is being held daily to satisfy queries on sports-related several matters like motivation, medical, injury, nutrition and doping among others.
