Congress questions CM’s electoral engagements in Delhi

The Congress has criticised chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for getting too engrossed in the election campaign for elections of Delhi Assembly.
The chief spokesperson of Uttarakhand Congress Garima Dasauni said that the State is paying the price for the busy election campaign schedule of CM Dhami. She said that after last year’s Lok Sabha elections it is observed that the Uttarakhand CM spends considerable time in the election bound states to campaign for the BJP candidates. Dasauni said that in such a situation, the interests of the State are being compromised.
She said that the 38th National Games are currently underway in the State and the administration’s apathy is clearly visible in their organisation. Dasauni said that the hosting of the National Games was a golden opportunity for the State for its branding but the official apathy and slackness has marred this prospect. She said that the long absence of CM is taking a toll on monitoring of developmental activities. “The focus of CM should be on the development works, follow up of the schemes which are underway and welfare of the people of the State but CM is consistently discharging his duty as star campaigner in other States which is taking a toll on the State,’’ she said.
Dasauni said that the viral video of Vikasnagar MLA Munna Singh Chauhan in which he is talking about illegal mining clearly shows that the mafia is openly engaged in illegal digging of rivers of the State. She said that it is not the first time that any leader of the ruling party has raised this issue. Dasauni said that former CM Trivendra Singh Rawat had also raised the issue of illegal mining in River Ganga in the parliament.
