In latest news from Uttarakhand, upon being informed that a few guest participants for the Yaga Asana events as part of the 38th National Games from Tamil Nadu were facing certain health problems, the State Sports minister Rekha Arya rushed to Almora, changing her pre-scheduled programmes. She spoke to them and later said they were fully fit now. Earlier, she also talked with the medical teams tasked with looking after the health needs of the participants. She ascribed the minor health issues of the Yogasan event competitors to the climate change. “We have deployed medical teams competent to take care of any health issues that may confront the participating players,” she said, adding that aside from medical team deployment, special hospital arranges have been made to take on emergencies.
She further told the guest players that she was here as their guardian. “Do not think you are away from your near ones. We are here to take full care of you as long as you are in Uttarakhand,” she said.
