In latest news from Uttarakhand, the Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath was accorded a warm welcome as he reached his ancestral village Tallas Banas under Yamkeshwar block in Pauri district on a two-day visit. He attended a number of programmes like consecration of a temple, planting a Rudraksha sapling and addressing a farmers’ fair. Earlier, he was received at the Jolly Grant airport in Dehradun by two State cabinet ministers-Premchand Aggarwal and Ganesh Joshi. He arrived in his village on a helicopter that took off from the Doon airport.
The main purpose of his visit is to attend his niece’s wedding ceremony slated on February 7. Security has been tightened in the district in view of the UP CM’s visit.
