Aarushi Nishank duped of Rs 4 Cr, case registered

In latest news from Doon, the daughter of the former Union Education minister and chief minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ Aarushi Nishank who is a film actor and director is stated to have been duped of crores of rupees in the name of investment in lieu of a role in a film. A case has been filed in the Kotwali police station against two Mumbai-based film producers- Mansi Varun Bagla and Varun Pramod Kumar Bagla.  

It is learnt that she was asked to invest Rs five crore as a condition for being given a lead role in an upcoming film and a 20 per cent share of the film’s earnings. She was further told that in case she did not like the script the money to be invested by her would be returned with 15 per cent interest.   Taking things at face value, Aarushi invested Rs two crore as the first instalment and then she was forced into paying Rs two crore more in several instalments.
