Lalkuan police arrested a youth in connection with stealing of motor bikes, scooties, cylinders and mobile phones from the forest near Prem Ashram. The stolen goods were also recovered. Sharing details, the in-charge inspector, Lalkuan police station, Dinesh Singh Fartyal said that the accused was identified as Ajit Gharami (24), resident of Ward no 3 of Dineshpur in Udham Singh Nagar district.
Police acted on a complaint lodged by Manvir Singh Bisht, resident of Gandhinagar, Bindukhatta, Lalkuan, alleging that an unknown person had sneaked into his residence around 12 noon on January 25 and stolen gas cylinders and mobile phone sets. A police team was formed to arrest the accused. Aside from the cylinders and mobile phones stolen from Bisht’s house, police recovered several stolen motor bikes and scooties.
