In latest news from Doon, the comedy actor Ghananand (Ghanna Bhai)-known as the comedy king of Uttarakhand, is no more. He passed away this morning at a private hospital in Dehradun. He had been in ventilator for the past few days. Those close to the departed artist said that a pacemaker had been inserted in him, given his failing heart condition. As blood had started flowing through his urine a few days ago, he was rushed to the hospital where his health suddenly deteriorated during treatment.
Aside from his long association with the Garhwali movies and music albums, he tried his luck in politics, too. He unsuccessfully contested from the Pauri Assembly seat on BJP ticket in 2012.
