In latest news from Uttarakhand, 14 newly appointed officers in the Horticulture department, Uttarakhand visited the Uttarakhand Council for Biotechnology, Haldi in order to learn about the technologies used in horticultural activities. The team visited the laboratories equipped with modern technologies of the council.
During this tour conducted under the guidance of the UCB director, Sanjay Kumar, the officers were given information by the scientists about the development of plants by plant tissue culture method, kiwi fruit and walnut and hydroponics technology, method of water, soil and air quality testing in the environmental laboratory and DNA separation and biosensor among others.
