Claiming that the achievements of the budget session of the Vidhan Sabha were historic, the Bharatiya Janata Party has expressed happiness at the session’s conclusion. The BJP State president and Rajya Sabha member Mahendra Bhatt said that this session will be remembered for the bills passed for a developed Uttarakhand and for maintaining the land assets and original form of the State.
Speaking after the session was adjourned sine die, Bhatt said that this session was noteworthy for the budget which was inclusive and focused on sustainable development along with a stringent land law bill. He thanked chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and the entire house for passing the budget based on progressive principles. “This budget was based on innovation, self-reliance, our great heritage and progressive ideas, which will be beneficial to the poor, youth, farmers and women. This budget has strengthened the foundation for agriculture, industry, energy, infrastructure, tourism and AYUSH. The passing of this budget has taken Uttarakhand a step forward towards becoming a developed State. Implementation of the policies in the budget by the government will result in improvement in basic facilities, industrial scenario and ensure that the people benefit from public welfare schemes,” the BJP State chief said.
Referring to the strict land law brought in during the Assembly session, Bhatt said that this was a historic moment. The bill, brought in accordance with public aspirations, will play an important role in protecting the land and original form of Uttarakhand. Implementation of this law will ensure that each inch of the State’s land will be protected. The BJP government has taken an important step towards fulfilling its commitments to the public during this session, he claimed.
