The Meteorological department has issued a yellow alert of heavy rainfall in isolated places in many districts of the State on Thursday. The weathermen have also predicted heavy snowfall at places located above 3,500 meters in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Tehri, Pithoragarh and Bageshwar districts on the day.
The department has predicted moderate snowfall at places located above 2,800 meters and light to moderate rainfall in most places of Dehradun, Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Tehri, Pauri, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Almora, Nainital and Champawat districts.
Thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and hail accompanying heavy rainfall are likely to occur at isolated places in Dehradun district. Rain and thunderstorms are likely to occur at isolated places in Pauri, Champawat, Nainital, Almora and Haridwar districts of Uttarakhand on Thursday.
