International Yoga festival to commence in Rishikesh on March 1

 In line with chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s vision to position Uttarakhand as the global capital of yoga, the Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam (GMVN) and the Tourism department will host the International Yoga Festival in Rishikesh from March 1 to March 7. According to the managing director of GMVN, Vishal Mishra the festival will be inaugurated by CM on March 1 at the Ganga Resort, Rishikesh. The event will feature prominent Yogacharyas from across India and around the world, who will guide participants in various yoga Asanas and meditation practices. Daily yoga training sessions will be offered throughout the festival. Additionally, attendees can look forward to cultural presentations and sermons from spiritual leaders, he said.

CM Dhami said, “Uttarakhand is renowned globally as the land of yoga and spirituality. Rishikesh serves not only as the international capital of yoga but also as a symbol of India’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage. This International Yoga Festival will offer the world an opportunity to embrace this ancient Indian art form. I urge all yoga enthusiasts and practitioners to take part in this festival.”
