Education minister Dhan Singh Rawat has said that the department will soon deploy 1,317 newly selected licentiate teachers (LT) in the schools. These teachers will be appointed in the schools located in hard to accessible areas.
The minister told mediaperons that the newly appointed LTs will be deployed within a month.
He said that the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission has released the final result of the LT teachers. The commission has selected 153 candidates in Mathematics, 237 in general Science, 15 in Commerce, 21 in Sanskrit, one in Urdu, 164 in English, 179 in Hindi, 229 in Arts, 13 in Home science and 100 in physical education.
The minister said that the newly appointed teachers will be deployed in the schools located in the mountainous areas of Garhwal and Kumaon regions.
He said that the objective of the government is to ensure that 100 per cent teachers are deployed in the schools located in mountainous areas.
