IIT Roorkee flags off S²-STEP2025 & IPSC-2025

In latest news from Uttarakhand, the International Conference on ‘Space for Sustainability: Science, Technology, Education, and Policy’ (S²-STEP2025) alongside the 6th Indian Planetary Science Conference (IPSC-2025)- organised by the Centre for Space Science and Technology (CSST), IIT Roorkee- commenced at IIT, Roorkee on Tuesday. The organisers said that the conference aims to drive global discussions on sustainable space technologies, planetary exploration and academia-industry collaborations.

Inaugurating the conference, the chairman, ISRO and secretary, Department of Space (DoS), V Narayanan said that the future of space exploration hinges on sustainable and responsible practices. “India is at the forefront of developing cutting-edge technologies that will drive our planetary missions and deep-space explorations,” he added.  Addressing it, the director, India Korea Centre for Research and Innovation (IKCRI), Young Ho Kim highlighted the role of international cooperation in this great mission.  The director, IIT Roorkee, Prof K K Pant, presided over the event.
