PM Modi pats CM Dhami’s back again

PNS | DEHRADUN
The chemistry between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was visible during the visit of PM Modi to Harshil and Mukhba in Uttarkashi district on Thursday.
After endearing the local crowd by starting his speech in Garhwali in Harshil, the PM termed Dhami as his younger brother and an energetic chief minister. The PM said that during his past visit to Kedarnath, he had said that the third decade of this century will belong to Uttarakhand. He said that the government led by chief minister Dhami is doing an appreciable job in this direction.
When the CM approached PM Modi after the latter had finished his address, the PM patted his back after a warm shaking of the hands.
Similar chemistry was visible between the two leaders during the opening ceremony of the National Games in Dehradun on January 27.
The BJP leaders are of the view that CM Dhami has endeared him to PM Modi due to his approach, energy and vision he has for the State. The successful organisation of 38th National Games and implementation of Uniform Civil Code in Uttarakhand have been praised by PM Modi.
The observers point out that the union government has remained benevolent towards the State in approving development projects, the latest being sanctioning of multi crore ropeway projects for Kedarnath and Hemkund Sahib.
It is pertinent to mention here that CM Dhami had first of all directed the State administration to work on the concept of winter char dham Yatra. The concept behind this Yatra was to ensure that pilgrims visit the State for having darshans of deities during the winter months as well when the four shrines are closed. During his last visit to New Delhi, the CM invited PM Modi to take part in the winter Yatra which he accepted.
