Champions Trophy Final: India beats New Zealand by 4 wickets

New Zealand skipper Mitchell Santner won the toss and opted to bat against India in the Champions Trophy final here on Sunday. Finally India beat New Zealand by four wickets to win the of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai.

Rahul’s explosive 76 off 83, supportive contribution by Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul, India completed the target of 252-run chase with an over to spare. Rohit Sharma added 105 runs with Shubman Gill for the opening wicket before New Zealand. Axar was dismissed for 29(40) by Bracewell. KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya then took charge and helped India inch close to the target before Kyle Jamieson got rid of the all-rounder for run-a-ball 18. KL Rahul returned unbeaten on 34(33). Earlier, India’s four-faced spin attack restricted New Zealand to 251/7 in 50 overs after they won the toss and opted to bat.
