In latest news from Doon, the State cabinet minister Dhan Singh Rawat directed the officers concerned of Jal Sansthan and Pey Jal Nigam to complete the Pey Jal projects being executed in Srinagar of Pauri district at an estimated cost of Rs 150 crore by the deadline. He also asked them to settle the long-lingering issues with the Forest department concerning the drinking water projects at the earliest. Notably, the drinking water project covers the Srinagar Assembly constituency limit. He held a meeting in his Assembly office to review the projects.
Rawat said that around 50,000 people living in Khirsu, Pabo and Thailsain blocks would be benefited.
