The Uttarakhand Vidhyalayi Shiksha Parishad (UVSP) will begin the evaluation of board examination answer sheets for Class X and Class XII on March 21 which will continue until April 4. The secretary, UVSP, Vinod Simalti said that preparations for the answer sheet evaluation are underway with 29 evaluation centers being set up across the State to facilitate this process. For Class X, a total of 1,476 examiners, 154 deputy chief examiners and 308 auditors have been appointed. For Class XII, there are 1,379 examiners, 149 deputy chief examiners and 978 auditors assigned with the tasks.
Prior to the evaluation, annual training sessions have been organised for chief controllers, deputy controllers, supervisors, deputy chief examiners, assistant examiners and others involved in the evaluation process. This year’s training programme began on March 17 and concluded on Wednesday, Simalti said.
He further said that on the first day of the training programme on Monday, training had been conducted for 58 master trainers from the 29 evaluation centres. During the first session, Simalti addressed the master trainers and provided specific instructions for the evaluation process. Responsibilities of the deputy chief examiners and assistant examiners were outlined too, along with discussions on the marking scheme, common errors and other important points.
Simalti noted that training continued on Tuesday and Wednesday with the same instructions being provided to the evaluators.
