Senior Supreme Court advocate Rajiv Dutta inspected the integrated command and control centre (ICCC) at the Forest department headquarters here on Sunday. The principal chief conservator of forests Dhananjai Mohan and other officials were also present on the occasion.
The additional PCCF (Forest Fires & Disaster Management) Nishant Verma provided information about the use of the forest fire mobile application and action being taken to control forest fires. Information was also provided about innovations for forest fire management in the State. According to officials,
Dutta appreciated the efforts undertaken by the State government and Forest department for controlling forest fires in the State. After the visit to the ICCC, Dutta and departmental officials also visited the Thano crew station and saw the fireline cleaning work in this part of Dehradun forest division.
